Our client near Penrith is a Poultry Hatchery & Breeding unit, fully committed to excellence in poultry production.
They are currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team.
Note: To be successful, you should not have any poultry at home or own an avian pet.
Hatchery responsibilities include:
* Handling operations of both eggs and chicks
* Setting of fertile eggs
* Candling and monitoring incubation parameters
* Maintaining a high standard of hygiene
Breeding farm responsibilities include:
* Daily care of poultry
* Monitoring health & behaviour of birds
* Egg collection & record keeping
* Assisting with breeding programs & hatchery operations
Requirements for this position:
* Physically fit and willing to work in farm conditions
* Team player with a good work ethic
* Willing to work weekends/holidays
* Experience in poultry or animal farming preferred but not required (training provided)

Salary: From £26,208 to £31,449 per annum
Hours: This is a full-time role, minimum 40 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 4 on / 4 off or 6 on / 2 off.
