Responsibilities
As a Tool Designer you will develop CAD drawings for all Proseal Machine tooling and documents in line with standard machinery or customer specifications. Design work will include mechanical and electrical layouts, schematics, and equipment datasheets.
* Carry out the design process and development for both new and existing products to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Prepare bills of materials for manufacturing, documenting all part numbers and drawing references.
* Liaise with colleagues, assist with potential quality issues through production.
* Interpret customer ideas and prepare drawings and 3D models for manufacture, including all dimensions, tolerances, finishes, and notes.
* Assist managers and colleagues with matters related to product development.
* Identify opportunities to reduce costs in design, materials used and manufacturing techniques.
* Provide feedback for continuous improvement of products and services.

* Good understanding of 3D CAD design (Solidworks).
