SEN Teaching Assistant
Caerphilly (NP11)
Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:30 (Term time only)
Start Date: 2nd September 2025
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. On behalf of a large primary school based in Caerphilly, we are looking for a positive, resilient and pro-active individual.
Expectations and Responsibilities of this role:
* To support children with various different additional learning needs which can vary from ASD, SEMH, Complex Needs and Behavioural Difficulties
* Provide tailored support to pupils and help them to access lessons and intervention sessions
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents/carers and appropriate external professionals
* Promote independence and resilience and support the development of positive mental health
* Be aware of different supporting strategies and ensure equal opportunities for all
* Challenge and motivate pupils, raising their self-esteem, confidence and provide positive feedback to the class teacher regarding progress
* Provide tailored support to reach each pupils development targets

Essential Requirements:
* DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council
* 2 Professional References rated Good or above
* Completion of our Level 2 Safeguarding qualification
