Mental Health PA Support Required - RD-DCC-001
The role is to support an individual with their mental health (Psychosis), promoting independence and assisting them with accessing the community.
We are looking for a kind, patient, and understanding Personal Assistant. The role will include supporting the individual with their mental health, this role is very much about emotional reassurance, encouragement, and creating a safe, calm environment where they can feel comfortable and supported. Someone who is charismatic and easy to talk to.
At first the role will be to accompany the individual on short local walks, to increase time spent in the community. Once the individuals confidence has increased you will be there to gradually help support and increase exposure to spending time more time in the community in places such as local shops or going out for a coffee near by. The long term goal is to eventually be able to visit chesterfield and surrounding areas to go shopping.
The support is required on either a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday 9 am. To begin with the role will be for one hour a week, once the individuals feels his confidence has increased and a rapport has been built there is an potential for an increase of hours.
