Job Title: 1:1 Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Job Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a primary city Academy that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support for a Year 1 student. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, working collaboratively with the class teacher and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to a Year 1 student with specific learning needs.
* Assist in developing and implementing personalised educational plans.
* Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt lessons to meet the student's needs.
* Support the student's social and emotional development through positive relationships.
* Monitor and record the student's progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
* Implement behavioural strategies as directed by the teacher or SENCO.
* Encourage the student's independence and participation in classroom activities.
* Communicate effectively with parents about the student's progress.
Qualifications:
* Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, preferably in Year 1.
* Understanding of child development and learning principles.
* Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting individual needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to undergo background checks and clearances as required.
