Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities
* Provide direct leadership to technicians and indirect leadership to associates assigned within the area of responsibility.
* Evaluate associate training needs, ensuring competence and cross-training where applicable.
* Provide necessary tools and equipment, including personal protective equipment and resources to associates.
* Complete production requirements daily.
* Problem solving and countermeasure development.
* Monitor and measure the accuracy of processes and equipment.
* Provide new associates with thorough department orientation.
* Initiate coaching and counseling for inappropriate behavior and attendance in collaboration with HR.
* Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
* Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
* Conduct performance reviews.
* It is an essential function of this position that Associates be on the work site in person to perform their job duties throughout each scheduled work week because TSIN operates most effectively with the kind of teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision that simply cannot be had in a home office situation.
* All other duties as assigned. (Ex. Problem Tracking Chart, Ujigami data entry)
* Must have a good understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and JIT principles, high manual dexterity, and good visual acuity to work with parts.
* Assist with Gemba walks for the external customer.
* Must be able to utilize customer specific portals and databases as they align with the above duties.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
* Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, use fingers, hands, wrists, arms, lift and/or move a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally.
