Job Description
What you’ll do:
* Act as a business partner to Accountants and Sales teams within the EMEA organization.
* Support Accountants by acting as a delegate.
* Own critical department processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
* Uphold global Belkin policies regarding customer programs and assist with compliance.
* Support in controlling and recording customer program expenses and accrued balances.
* Maintain schedules of accrual balances reconciled to the company's liabilities.
* Generate and publish monthly customer program reports.
* Review and settle complex claims and disputes from customers.
* Manage multiple stakeholders professionally and courteously.
* Assist in month-end processes and ad hoc requests related to customer programs.
How you’ll do it:
* Maintain ongoing dialogue with Accountants and Sales regions.
* Ensure automated accruals are posted correctly in accounts.
* Highlight concerns with accrual balances and spending levels.
* Monitor invoices received against accruals, cross-referencing contracts and turnover.
* Perform month-end reconciliations and journal postings in Oracle.
* Ensure procedures are followed in evaluating Program & Allowance spend.
* Conduct analysis to support business requests and initiatives.
What you’ll need:
* Strong articulation skills and authoritative communication.
* Discipline and attention to detail.
* Collaborative attitude with senior Accountants and Salespeople.
* Strong academic background.
* Understanding of accrual accounting and general principles (preferred).
What you’ve done:
* At least 2 years of experience in a Finance/Accounting department.
* Strong academic results.
* Knowledge of basic accounting processes; experience with month-end close preferred.
* Experience in negotiation and internal customer service roles is desirable.
* Intermediate Excel skills.
