FNZ is currently looking for candidates to join on a 9-month fixed-term contract basis.
This role is responsible for core processing within specific functions, depending on the individual team, within one of the designated Operations Functional Areas.
The candidate will provide high-quality administration support within the pensions operations team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of pension scheme benefits and member records.
The role involves handling queries from members, employers, and other third parties via written correspondence and telephone, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process a wide range of pension administration tasks (e.g. pension benefits, transfers, deaths, leavers, and new business) in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and statutory requirements.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records across relevant systems.
3. Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls with members, employers, and third parties, providing clear, accurate, and empathetic responses.
4. Respond to written inquiries via email and letter, ensuring professional communication standards.
5. Support the calculation and payment of pension benefits, following internal checking and authorisation processes.
6. Identify and escalate complex cases, complaints, or potential risks to senior colleagues where necessary.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement by highlighting process issues and suggesting solutions.
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the operations team to ensure consistency and efficiency.
9. Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection legislation.
10. Keep up to date with pensions legislation, company policies, and operational procedures.

Experience & Qualifications (Desirable)
18. Previous experience in pensions administration, financial services, or similar operational roles.
19. Experience in client services.
20. The ability to work accurately and to deadlines.
21. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
