Bishop Burton College is seeking an inspiring and committed Lecturer in English to join our Creative, Care and Business team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering engaging and innovative English lessons, supporting learners to achieve their full potential and develop vital skills for the future.
Depending on experience, the post holder may also take on Group Tutor responsibilities, supporting a designated cohort of students with their progress, wellbeing and personal development.
What you could be doing now
* Delivering English or related subjects in a school, sixth form, FE college or training provider
* Teaching English GCSE or Functional Skills to a diverse group of learners
* Working in industry with a strong background in English, communication or creative writing, looking to transition into teaching
Where you might be working now
* A secondary school or academy, teaching English to KS4/KS5 students
* An FE college, delivering GCSE English resits or Functional Skills
* A private training organisation or apprenticeship provider, supporting learners with English skills
* A professional or industry setting where English, communication and analytical skills are central, and you're keen to move into education
