You will be working alongside other clinical colleagues to support the facilitation of high-quality care and working in parallel to consultants within the Gynaecology Services. Providing a specialist nursing service, offering holistic, patient centred and sensitive care to women who are being investigated, treated, or living with and beyond cancer. The postholder will be required to work closely with the multidisciplinary team and also work autonomously and exercise a very high level of clinical expertise. She/he must also possess expertise assessment of patients, examination requesting and interpreting diagnostic tests, Gynaecology nursing strategies, and the provision of education and training across organisational and professional boundaries. Qualifications Essential • NMC Registered Nurse Desirable • Recognised mentorship course • Evidence of post registration qualification/CPD appropriate to specialty Skills Essential • Post registration experience as a Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist. • Substantial post registration experience • Knowledge of the management of womens health Gynaecology cancers • An understanding and appreciation of different computerised systems and records • An understanding of evidence-based practise • Skills to competently assessment / management / investigation of gynaecology cancer and related conditions. • Able to use IT equipment effectively
