The Opportunity
A thriving 11–18 academy in Derbyshire is inviting applications for a passionate Art Teacher to join its creative arts faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role involves teaching Art across Key Stages 3–5, including guiding students through GCSE and A-Level coursework. The Role in More Detail
You will plan and teach Art lessons across all ages, guiding students in techniques, media exploration, conceptual development, and project presentation. You’ll lead and supervise GCSE and A-Level coursework, supporting students in developing long-term projects and independent portfolios.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues in the arts faculty on whole-school arts initiatives (e.g. themed exhibitions, visual installations, cross-curricular art links). You may lead an art club, coordinate gallery or museum trips, and support events that give student work a public platform. The role may also involve leading display projects across the school, mentoring younger staff, or contributing to departmental improvement plans.
