We wish to appoint a Research Associate with expertise in qualitative research, health and care systems, and policy to join the Health Organisation, Policy and Economics (HOPE) research group at The University of Manchester.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on a Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) commissioned Post-Implementation Review of the Health and Care Act 2022. This project is co-led by Dr. Jonathan Hammond (The University of Manchester) and Dr. Marie Sanderson (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). The role also involves joining the team delivering the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Policy Research Unit in Health and Care Systems and Commissioning (PRUComm).
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate closely with Dr. Jonathan Hammond, Professor Kath Checkland, and other research teams.
2. Conduct policy-relevant research in the area of health and care systems.
3. Liaise with policymakers and advisers in the Department of Health and Social Care.
4. Contribute to the dissemination of research findings.
Location and Environment
The position is based in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care, Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.
