Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.

The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state‑of‑the‑art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

The Role
Our team in Artigarvan are seeking a motivated and detail orientated Trainee Accountant to join them on a full‑time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in accounting and finance, gaining hands‑on experience across a range of financial processes while working towards their professional qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the preparation of financial statements for statutory entities.
* Provide analysis and support to external and internal audit.
* Support the preparation of forecasts and budgets.
* Hold responsibility for the maintenance of prepayments and monthly releases.
* Preparation of monthly schedules and balance sheet analytics.
* Support cashflow preparation for multiple currencies.
* Assist with ad‑hoc projects as they arise.
The Person
Our team is seeking an individual that possesses:
* A finance‑related graduate or a part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA CIMA) seeking to qualify.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Process driven with excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and a reliable team player.
* Enthusiastic and passionate about developing their accounting knowledge and understanding.
* Previous experience of SAP would be desirable.
