We are looking for a Test and Assembly Technician to join our Christchurch site!
You will be working under minimal supervision, following process instructions, drawings, test and repair schedules to assemble, test, and repair products and customer returns, in accordance with the quality management system, and to meet company and customer requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assembling components into a final configured product using process and drawing instructions, blueprints, specialized tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
2. Repairing and testing products using test procedures, drawings, specialized tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools, incorporating ECN as required.
3. Evaluating customer returns to determine necessary repair actions to satisfy customer requirements and product standards.
4. Fault finding products to sub-assembly level using drawings and basic test equipment, and potentially to component level using circuit diagrams.
5. Conducting staged inspections of products at required intervals to verify accuracy of work.
6. Providing training and support to colleagues as needed.
7. Complying with all health and safety requirements.
8. Performing work according to current standard routines and QMS.
9. Maintaining 6S in the work area.
10. Performing routine minor maintenance.
11. Seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
12. Supporting problem solving in small groups.
What You Bring:
* Qualification to ONC Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) or
* Time served Engineering Apprenticeship or
* At least 2 years relevant experience in electronic/pneumatics engineering and electrical/mechanical assembly techniques, with a proven track record of competence.
A working knowledge of MRP systems, Production Control systems, and advanced manufacturing techniques is required. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is also necessary.
