📢 Job Vacancy: Accounts Clerk / Accounts Manager
📍 Location: Dukinfield, Greater Manchester

💼 Construction Industry | SME Environment
We are a well-established construction company based in Dukinfield, seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk/ Accounts Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day financial processes. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who thrives in a busy SME environment and has a strong understanding of construction industry finance practices.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Recording, processing, and reconciling supplier invoices
Ensuring timely supplier payments
Creating and issuing accurate customer invoices
Handling CIS (SC60) returns and records
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Daily banking and reconciliation
Managing general bookkeeping and account administration
Working closely with the company director and site teams
(Optional) Assisting with payroll processing
✅ About You:
Proven experience in a similar accounts role within the construction sector
Comfortable working in a small to medium-sized business
Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) is essential
Experience with payroll is desirable, but not essential
