The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all engineering requirements for multiple factories/facilities.
Reporting to our Senior Engineering Manager, the role is accountable for maintaining the integrity, reliability and safety of Weetabixs electrical equipment. This includes equipment strategy, management of day-to-day maintenance and ensuring compliance
The Recipe (About the Role)
* Guide the development and execution of electrical and controls obsolescence plans
* Provide a single point of leadership for all Weetabix electrical standards across the site
* Ensure the controls team maintains and develops the necessary skills to support and enhance operational capability
* Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for:
o Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)
o Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)
o Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR)
* Serve as Duty Holder for Ionising Radiation (IRR) and Electrical Safety.
* Contractor manager for key electrical assets and equipment across the site.
* Develop and implement training and succession plans for the electrical team and other relevant departments.
* Own and manage the central engineering electrical budget.
* Support and advise on the development of IT systems that enable plant improvement and effective data capture.
* Set and maintain site-wide policies and standards for Electrical and Control Systems equipment.
The Ingredients (What we need from you)
Key Know How
* Degree, HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Discipline
* Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
* Experience in budget management
