The Royal Marsden has a well-established partnership with Kingston Hospital to provide a range of oncological services with the Trusts jointly investing in the development of the Sir William Rous Unit (SWRU) in 2008. The SWRU is home to the Kingston Medical Day Unit, staffed and run by Royal Marsden staff but very much integrated with Kingston Hospital, the unit delivers treatment to patients from a range of tumour groups including Breast, GI, Urology and Lung.

1. Membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent qualifications.
2. Full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council. (Or eligible for GMC registration)
Experience

3. Broad based experience in oncology, including systemic therapies, at SpR level or equivalent
4. Four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty (or equivalent experience and competencies).

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
