Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Plymouth for an Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis. The role is required to cover gaps in the current team and provide support across the department.
Main Responsibilities
Provide financial advice to clients, senior finance colleagues, departmental management teams and elected members
Support service planning especially with regard to financial systems development and working practices
Deliver minimum statutory finance services, consolidate and ensure continuous improvement, regarding the financial management, financial standing, financial reporting and internal control
Contribute towards the production of management and statutory accountsCandidate Criteria
CCAB/CIMA Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
Experience in Local Authority Finance is highly desirable
Experience of providing financial advice to senior members and stakeholders
Experience of contributing towards production of management and statutory accounts
