What You'll Be Doing
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
* Design new products from concept sketches or design briefs using Inventor 2022 and AutoCAD 2022 (Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2022).
* Modify existing products to enhance functionality and efficiency.
* Produce mechanical manufacturing and assembly drawings adhering to ISO and quality standards.
* Research and specify suitable proprietary parts and produce a bill of materials (BOM). Experience with SAP is desirable.
* Maintain standard product library and ensure compliance with HSE machinery safety standards.
* Conduct Machinery Risk Assessments for new and existing equipment.
* Support the production team during assembly and testing phases.
* Manage change control processes for improvements.
* Create machinery layouts for customer and quotation purposes.
* Develop Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
We Need Someone With
* A minimum of 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering Design.
* Proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, and MS Office 365.
* Experience in detailing machined components, welded fabrications, sheet metal, and laser cut parts.
* Knowledge or experience in the design of special purpose machines, ideally with exposure to glass handling equipment and conveyor systems.
