This is a senior architecture role focused on delivering the digital backbone for a leading UK clean energy programme. You will design infrastructure and End User Compute solutions supporting next-generation nuclear technology, contributing to greener, sustainable energy initiatives.

* Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
* Work Arrangement: 2-3 days on-site per week
* Salary: Up to £86,940 + benefits
Responsibilities
* Lead architecture for infrastructure and EUC domains, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
* Provide governance and assurance as the technical design authority across multiple projects.
* Design solutions that integrate with enterprise systems and support sustainable IT environments.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into practical, future-proof designs.
* Set standards for cloud platforms, workplace technologies, and digital infrastructure.
* Mentor technical teams and embed architectural best practices.
* Maintain reference architectures and reusable patterns for infrastructure and EUC delivery.
Required Skills
* Expertise in infrastructure architecture and EUC environments.
* Knowledge of system integration, cloud adoption, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
* Experience leading governance and influencing technical strategy.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience coaching architects and technical teams.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, Citrix) are advantageous.
