Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Basingstoke to recruit an experienced Teacher of English for a full-time maternity cover position starting 13th April 2026.

The Role
As a Teacher of English, you will:
* Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring strong progress for all learners
* Inspire a love of literature, language, reading and writing, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes
* Maintain a calm, purposeful and respectful classroom environment through excellent behaviour management
* Use assessment effectively to track progress and provide clear, meaningful feedback
* Work collaboratively within a dedicated English team, sharing resources and best practice
* Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and uphold high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement
