We are recruiting for Health Care Assistants to join our Ashgrove Care Home. Assist staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity, and treatment of all residents.
Responsibilities
* Assist staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity, and treatment of all residents.
* Work efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to approach patient care.
* Assist residents with all personal care required, including bathing in bed, bathroom, or chair, ensuring essential aspects of personal hygiene are maintained.
* Observe and monitor residents' well-being, promptly reporting any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences to senior staff and documenting appropriately.
* Ensure awareness of local child and adult safeguarding policies and procedures, including contact points within the local authority.
* Assist with mobility and transfers using the correct specialised equipment.
* Participate in ward meetings.
* Adhere to infection control policies and maintain ward cleanliness.
* Maintain and develop professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
Skills and Qualifications
* Basic IT skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, with 1:1 support as needed.
* Completion of and minimum 60% in Level 2 of The Deprivation of Liberty module is required for all staff.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
* Health care experience is desirable but not essential.
