CLASS 1 DRIVER MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES BETWEEN 14.00 - 19.00 PAY RATE: £17.50 - £24.18 PER HOUR People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Tamworth area. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. Benefits As a Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Training provided Rates of Pay: Basic: £17.50 per hour Saturday: £18.14 per hour Sunday: £24.18 per hour Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: Trunking depot-depot (2-3) no handball (working on curtain-side) Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Essential Skills As a Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial Training Driver's Assessment will have to be completed After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction Contact If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
