We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Ealing on a full-time, long-term basis. About the role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs. This may include one-to-one support or working with small groups to help pupils access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally. A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN Supporting the implementation of individual education plans and EHCPs Assisting with differentiated learning activities Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development Working closely with teachers, SENCo, and support staff Adhering to safeguarding policies and school procedures About the school The school is a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ealing, with a strong focus on high-quality SEN provision and pupil wellbeing. Requirements To be considered for the role of Primary SEN Teaching Assistant you will: Prior experience working in primary schools (required) Experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable A calm, patient, and empathetic approach A relevant SEN or Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential Strong communication and teamwork skills Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
