An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Governance Administrator to work as part of the Patient Safety and Governance Team. Working alongside the Governance and Patient Safety Officers, you will be part of a dynamic and dedicated team.
This is a full time permanent post, working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.
The role will be based at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.
Please note the start date will be after 1st April 2026.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide administration for Trust patient safety and governance meetings, forums and events.
2. Provide administrative support to the governance functions within the Trust.
3. Provide administrative support to the Fire, Health and Safety team
4. Provide administrative support to the Trust Policy Approval processes.
5. To participate in the ward accreditation programme.
6. To provide administration support for the Trust risk management system.
7. To be responsible for managing shared inboxes
8. Support the wider patient safety and governance team in the delivery of the national patient safety strategy, including the patient safety incident response framework (PSIRF)
9. Prepare and distribute information (electronically via email or printing paper copies)
10. Provide efficient, effective and confidential support through accurately inputting data onto databases and spreadsheets
11. Retrieving information from patient case notes and electronic patient information system as required, or collecting information from wards
12. Prepare and collate data
13. Distributing information to wards and key divisional personnel as required
14. Support the maintenance of the patient safety / governance intranet and website
15. To provide personal assistant support to senior members of the team as required
16. To be responsible for placing orders on behalf of the patient safety and governance team
