Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Teaching Assistant at an alternative provision on the Wirral. This site supports secondary-aged pupils with SEND, including SEMH, challenging behaviour, ADHD, and other additional needs.
Role Responsibilities
1. Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1-1 basis or in small groups.
2. Assisting the class teacher as required.
3. Helping pupils re-engage with their education, as they are unable to remain in mainstream settings due to their needs.
Candidate Requirements
1. Previous experience working with SEND children or adults, in educational or residential settings.
2. Reliability and resilience, with the ability to handle challenging behaviour.
3. Knowledge of SEND and a suitable background, such as youth work, is preferred.
