Knowledge of waste tankers is desirable.
You will provide timely and accurate technical support to field and workshop-based engineers on Whale Tankers, offering in-depth Mechanical and Electrical assistance, both remotely and hands-on where required.
You will support customers with basic diagnostics and information, assist internal departments with estimates and quotations for repairs or maintenance, and work within the Service department.
We seek someone with:
* Technical Support experience
* Ability to be the first point of contact for technical support via phone or in person
* Professional and accurate support provision to engineers and customers
* Strong record-keeping and logging of support calls
* Ability to identify failure modes and collaborate on product improvements
* Support for the Service Office on technical matters
* Review of tank test and job sheet reports for technical support
Administration duties include:
* Creating detailed estimates and quotations
* Supporting parts and timescales for repairs
* Providing feedback on engineer development and delivering hands-on technical training
* Ensuring software is installed and functioning on engineer laptops
* Utilizing internal systems effectively
* Supporting warranty meetings with detailed failure analysis
This role involves working hours from 7am to 5pm on a 3-week rota, including some weekend shifts on a rota basis.
