About This Role
Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more. Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.
We are looking for two enthusiastic, engaging individuals to join us in the role of Learning Support Practitioner at Ormiston Horizon Academy.
Our Learning Support Practitioners enable inclusion and support independent learning by working with individuals or small groups of pupils, allowing them to continue to access mainstream education.
They also provide support to teachers in the preparation of teaching and learning materials.
The role of Learning Support Practitioner is varied and exciting, supporting students in the classroom in collaboration with subject teachers. In this role, you will work with individual pupils with special educational needs, or for whom English is not their first language.
You will support pupil learning by providing feedback on progress and support pupils' emotional, social and physical well‑being.
If you are a team player, enthusiastic about making a difference, this is the role for you. We are looking for someone who can build rapport and relationships with students, interpret information and problem‑solve quickly.
An NQQ Level 2 or equivalent education or experience is preferred. Previous experience is not required, though advantageous.
