Guidant Global are recruiting Class 2 Refuse Collection Drivers for the Brighton and Hove Council to cover Brighton and the surrounding areas. This is a long-term position and does require commitment on your part. Shift times: Monday to Friday, 06.00-Finish. Occasional weekend days will be required, particularly during peak summer seasons and around Bank Holidays Pay: £17.47 per hour Job role: Responsible for driving a Class 2 vehicle and operating the machinery for the refuse loading Taking responsibility for the safety of your team Reporting any issues to the Transport team, including vehicle and machinery concerns and faults, missed collection reasons and any issues encountered on the route Collecting and emptying commercial and residential waste and recycling refuse bins Happy to load when requirements dictate, requiring coverage on foot of long distances Guiding the driver in crowded areas and through tight situations Attending training as required to remain compliant with Health and Safety regulations Comply with regular DVLA checks Adherence to all regulations A site induction and full training of the job role will be provided with familiarisation of the local areas.
