Key Responsibilities:
· Support staff to follow up on incidents and concerns in line with college policy and best practice.
· Monitor incidents recorded on the Nourish Care Records system and coordinate timely follow-up, liaising with relevant staff and offering advice and guidance where appropriate.
* Support the ongoing quality assurance of Nourish records by reviewing relevant sections in accordance with the audit schedule.
· Monitor and follow up updates to PCPs in response to incidents or changes in student need, liaising with the Assistant Manager and Satellite Manager as required.
· Contribute to the collation and analysis of student services data and support reporting for safeguarding and behaviour dashboards.
· Participate in awareness-raising activities and student-facing events to promote safeguarding and wellbeing across the Telford site.With support from the wider teams.
· Undertake fact-finding tasks and liaise with external stakeholders to support the resolution of complex incidents and concerns.
· Work in partnership with PBS Coaches to ensure behaviour support strategies are regularly reviewed and implemented effectively.
· Provide student mediation where needed to resolve peer conflicts or wellbeing concerns.
· Participate in regular handover and coordination with the full-time Student Services Coordinator to ensure consistency across the service.
· Willing to undertake training in support of the role to further understand behaviour and emotion coaching. (ELSA, PBS)
Location:
Primarily based at the Telford site. Occasional travel to the Gobowen, Ludlow or Walford campus' may be required for training, team meetings, or collaborative working.
Working Pattern:
Part-time (0.6 FTE) – equivalent to 3 days per week, including a designated weekly handover day with the full-time postholder. To include a Friday
Person Specification:
* A caring, compassionate and empathic nature
* Relevant experience of supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and working with young people in a pastoral role
* Youth Work, Teaching or Care qualifications would be an advantage
* Must be adaptable and willing to work in all the many and varied aspects of the student services role
* Must be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Must be able to reflect on own practice and that of team to enable an analytical and strategic outlook
* Outstanding communication skills with individuals / staff at all levels
* Highly motivated individual
* Competent in MS Office

We are looking for a new member of our team based in Telford to work with our students for three days a week. There is potential for flexibility, but this will include a Friday. The ideal candidate will have an interest and experience in working with young people to enable them to reach their potential and to help overcome any barriers, particularly related to emotional wellbeing.
