TES 2000 has a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established rail safety company as Possession Support Staff within the North East Possessions Management Department.
The Possession Support Staff will join our Possessions Management Department on a 0-hour contract, primarily working night shifts during weekends. We are ideally looking for new colleagues based in and around York, Thirsk, Wetherby, and surrounding areas.

For those with a white hat and PTS, we are holding IWA and PS training during the week commencing 19th May 2025.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of TES 2000 staff and contracted personnel. TES 2000 offers various pay models including Umbrella, CiS, and PAYE, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle and needs.

About You
The ideal Possession Support Staff will:
* Be willing and able to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
* Already hold, or be willing to complete, training for Personal Track Safety (PTS), IWA, or COSS & PS Tickets, with training scheduled for the week commencing 19th May 2025. (Note: IWA is not applicable if COSS is held.)
* Have availability for day, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
* Hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.
Typical shift responsibilities include:
* Assisting as part of a team in managing rail line possessions.
* Attending (S)PICOP and COSS briefings, raising concerns if messages are unclear.
* Supporting pre-possession checks and briefings, arriving at blocking points at least one hour in advance.
* Monitoring blocking points, placing boards and detonators per Network Rail guidelines.
* Attending worksites to conduct safety audits on behalf of Network Rail.
* Participating in site walkouts to understand the environment and investigate safety concerns.
* Adhering to all relevant legislation and railway rules.
* Communicating with (S)PICOP before placing or removing protections.
* Reporting incidents, accidents, near misses, or concerns immediately, demonstrating a good understanding of safety regulations.
