What you’ll do
* Perform reactive and pro‑active mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations on heating, ventilation, chilled water, and BMS systems.
* Conduct fault‑finding diagnostics to ensure optimal system performance.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory inspections.
* Work safely under mechanical permit systems and adhere to health & safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the wider team to provide fast and efficient responses to breakdowns.
* Participate in the on‑call roster to provide essential support.
* Work with tools, access equipment, and occasionally drive company vehicles, as required.
* Coordinate maintenance tasks with in‑house teams and external contractors.
What you bring
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a similar role.
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and building energy management systems.
* Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Willingness to learn new techniques and share knowledge with colleagues.
* Capability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the role
Mechanical HVAC / Multi‑Skilled Engineer – part of the estates team at Wythenshawe Hospital, supporting the delivery of Hard FM services across the estate.
Employment details
* Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
* Monday to Friday, 08:00‑16:30 (additional pay through on‑call duties and overtime).
