Overview
The Regional Product Manager is a critical component of the Payments Market Product team, supporting the implementation and go-to-market activities of products within a specific region. This role has responsibility over a broad set of products for all countries within a region, which requires strong collaboration with local resources to adequately support TNS’ in-region expansion plans.
The Regional Product Manager is not expected to become an expert in a specific product or a specific market vertical, but rather will have the ability to provide commercial and go-to-market support to Sales, Marketing and Sales Engineers over a broad range of portfolio products.
The Regional Product Manager works with local, regional and corporate resources as needed from departments such as: Marketing, Revenue Growth Office, Finance, Global Service Delivery, Sales, Sales Engineering, Network Architecture and others to ensure that products are properly commercialized and available within the region.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for collaborating to produce localized product materials for new and existing products.
2. Follows up on in-region product related activities with other areas of the organization as needed.
3. Actively engages with in-region resources to evaluate product training needs and develops plans to fill in local knowledge gaps in portfolio products as needed.
4. Responsible for in-region portfolio product KPIs and reporting.
5. Responsible for performing in-region competitive assessments to collaborate with Sr Product Managers in creating in-region competitive advantages and providing ideas for new products.
6. Maintains an up-to-date list of in-region competitors for portfolio products.
7. Actively supports go-to-market activities for portfolio products as needed, collaborating with in-region and corporate resources as needed.
8. Follows up on and supports in-region product implementation plans as required.
9. Collaborates in developing end-to-end in-region product implementation plans involving all parties -internal and external- required for a successful implementation and launch of new products and enhancements to existing products.
10. Collaborates in vendor selection processes for new and existing products in-region as needed.
11. Provide in-region product support to regional marketing campaigns and sales training activities as needed.
12. Participates as Global Products “spokesperson” at regional conferences, seminars, and industry trade events.
Qualifications
13. A minimum of 10 years of combined product management, marketing management and sales engineering experience in technology businesses is a must.
14. Experience in payments markets, telecommunications, connectivity, networking, managed services and/or information security is a plus.
15. Proactive, strategic thinker.
16. Proven ability to analyze competitive data and produce competitiveness assessments with qualitative and quantitative information.
17. Experience as trainer to sales teams is a plus.
18. Proven ability to partner with internal stakeholders to drive business results.
19. Experience in performing market analysis and developing business cases.
20. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
21. Availability to travel within its base region as required.

22. BA/BS degree
