Were currently seeking an experienced individual to join us on a staff basis in London as a Senior Environmental Engineer. This key role will work directly with the Project Development Manager to support the delivery of the DCO from scoping through pre-application, examination to SoS decision and further. It will also have responsibility for supporting the engineering team on environmental issues.
Responsibilities:
* Management of Environmental consultants to develop Environmental documentation
* Coordinating with internal and external technical specialist environmental teams to provide sufficient evidence, draft and review DCO documents to support the project.
* Ensure environmental compliance as part of the application process.
* Maintain oversight of agreements, criteria, and conditions outlined in the Development Consent Order (DCO), and collaborated with stakeholders, individual packages, and the Consent team to ensure technical compliance.
* Support the Land Strategy Team in the Land Acquisition process.
* Interface between engineering Disciplines and DCO Consultants
* Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with contractors and internal team.
* Maintain and update the risk register, DCO consent register and other required trackers.
* Review progress and cost reports from DCO consultants
Who were seeking:
* 8-10 years+ experience, including experience on complex, large-scale energy or infrastructure projects
* Experience with development of EIA documentation
* Some knowledge of the DCO process for complex energy projects
* Knowledge of environmental elements of DCO process
