Are you a passionate music educator eager to inspire students and help them discover their creative potential? We are looking for a dedicated Music Teacher to become a key part of our dynamic, inclusive secondary school community in Watford.
This role goes beyond teaching – it’s about nurturing a love for music and encouraging students to explore, create, and express themselves. You’ll join a vibrant music department with talented students and supportive colleagues who share your enthusiasm for the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Lead extracurricular musical groups, including choirs, bands, and other performance ensembles.
* Guide students in exploring different instruments, music technology, and genres.
* Prepare students for assessments, performances, and formal exams.
* Track student progress and tailor support to meet diverse learning needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into broader school activities and events.
* Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred, but not essential).
* Experience teaching music in a secondary school environment.
* Proficiency in at least one instrument or strong vocal ability.
* A genuine passion for music and a drive to inspire young learners.
* Strong classroom management skills and excellent communication abilities.
* A team player who thrives in a creative and supportive environment.
