Job: Deputy Manager – Residential Care Home Hours: 48 hours per week (2 shifts on the floor, 3 days supernumerary) Alternate weekends required Location: Alton Salary: Circa £40k We are looking for a dedicated, hands-on Deputy Manager to join a well-established residential care home, known for its fantastic reputation and a Good CQC rating. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager, or a Unit Manager ready to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, leading by example, and ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained. Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day management of the home. Lead, motivate and develop the care team to deliver outstanding person-centred care. Be a visible, hands-on presence on the floor, supporting residents and staff. Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, policies and procedures. Assist with care planning, audits, quality monitoring and safeguarding. Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager. Support recruitment, induction, training and supervision of staff. Promote a positive, inclusive culture focused on dignity, respect and excellence.
