We provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of each resident, ensuring dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Our home accommodates 79 residents across three specialist units: Residential Dementia, Dementia Nursing, and General/Frail Elderly Nursing. This allows us to offer a seamless continuum of care as needs evolve over time. The Role The role of Receptionist is to support the Home in providing a friendly and professional front of home service to all visitors, residents and staff members. The role involves managing the front desk, answering and directing calls, handling administrative tasks, and providing a warm and welcoming service. Due to the nature of the services provided, some residents may become confused or irritated, and visitors could become emotional and upset. Therefore, the Receptionist should be prepared to handle difficult situations in an empathetic manner, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity whilst interacting with residents and visitors from diverse backgrounds. 30 hours/week 10am-4.30pm About The Role Main Responsibilities Greet visitors, residents and staff, providing support if necessary. Deal with incoming and outgoing communications and mail/ packages. Schedule appointments., controlling access in and out of the building. Clerical and administration duties relating to staff as well as residents. Ensure the reception area is kept clean, is organised and welcoming at all times. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Required Criteria To be organised and able to prioritise a varied and competitive workload Excellent communication skills with the ability to act with discretion when required The Right to Work in the UK Educated to GCSE level or equivalent standard, with a high level of literacy and numeracy Previous experience within an administration or customer service role Desired Criteria Previous administration experience within a nursing home environment Keyboard and PC skills with a basic level of proficiency for the standard range of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word Skills Needed About The Company We are passionate about providing the highest standards of care in safe, positive and flexible environments, which enable each person who uses our services to achieve their potential.
