Role Overview
This position supports people in the community with acute mental health needs, including those in crisis, and their carers.
The mental health worker assists individuals to meet daily health, social care and wellbeing needs in line with personal recovery goals and engages them with mainstream services.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessment and provide home treatment to individuals and carers
* Deliver relapse prevention and short‐term therapy work
* Facilitate discharge from hospital
* Work under the guidance of registered practitioners, with occasional lone working
* Provide services as part of a shared caseload, without care coordination duties
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Mental Health or equivalent qualification
* Experience working with people and families in distress due to mental health crisis
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a shift pattern
Working Hours
Full time. The team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The successful candidate will be expected to work a shift pattern.
Night provision is currently under review.
