Stores Assistant
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Stores Assistant to join their busy, fast-paced stores team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing company that values teamwork, quality, and progression.
The Role
As a Stores Assistant, you’ll support the daily running of the stores, including receiving and checking deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and preparing goods for dispatch. The role can be physically demanding and requires someone who is organised, methodical, and a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities of this Store Assistant role:
Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods
Preparing and picking orders accurately
Operating forklifts and order-picker trucks safely
Maintaining stock control systems and accurate records
Supporting colleagues to meet operational targetsRequirements for this Store Assistant role:
Previous experience in a similar stores or warehouse role
Valid forklift and order-picker truck licences (essential)
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
A strong team player with a positive attitude
Physically fit – able to meet the demands of the role
Must have own transport (location not accessible by public transport)Details of this Store Assistant role:
£12.25 per hour
Flexibility to work contracted hours over 4 days (subject to workload)
30 days holiday (including statutory), rising to 33 days after one year’s service
Annual business performance bonus (non-contractual)
