Deputy Clerk/Events Manager
A vacancy has arisen as from 1st November 2025 for the position of Deputy Clerk/Events Manager to Donnington and Muxton Parish Council. The Parish Council is looking for an experienced person to play a key role in delivering services and initiatives to its local community, as well as being proactive and helpful in supporting its councillors and residents. If you are motivated and organised, with excellent administration, IT and communication skills, you might be the ideal person to join our team!
Responsibilities
* Manage the bookings of the community hall
* Manage a library and its volunteer staff
* Organise Parish Council events such as Christmas Festival and light switch on, children’s Christmas party, day trips to the seaside, spring fayres, etc.
* Post social media updates (Facebook, X, Instagram) informing the community of Parish Council news and events
* Create the quarterly Parish Council Newsletter
* Demonstrate personal resilience, excellent organisational and communication skills, self-motivation and the ability to multi-task
