Produce detailed reports with conclusions and recommendations. Ensure fraud prevention, detection, and investigation. Self-manage a caseload of fraud allegations. Conduct investigations in line with legal requirements. Review and prioritize investigation cases. Adhere to internal policies and suggest improvements. Coordinate the National Fraud Initiative bi-annual exercise. Interview individuals professionally, including under caution. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Keep accurate records of investigations. Work with police during arrests and searches. Act as a disclosures officer in legal proceedings. Conduct pre-employment vetting for high-risk positions. Verify authenticity of documents and information. Represent the council in hearings and court as needed. Develop and deliver fraud awareness training. Provide advice on fraud-related inquiries.
