Responsibilities
* Support the financial and commercial management of multiple schemes, from initial authorisation to scheme closeout
* Assist with commercial reporting and ensure compliance with corporate governance and reporting timetables
* Provide commercial support to achieve the best value for the company while maintaining high standards
* Assist with budget and scheme estimations
* Prepare tender packages and manage the process through to contract award
* Support Project Managers with day-to-day commercial issues involving subcontractors
* Compile financial reports, deliver monthly performance reviews, and update KPIs
* Contribute to monthly forecasting for mainlaying, small schemes, lead replacement, and Smart Meter teams
* Assist in procurement of subcontract resources and supporting services as required
* Process invoices and applications for payment in line with contract terms, and prepare interim and final account statements
* Engage in training and development opportunities provided by the company
* Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams
What you\'ll need
To be successful, you will be working towards (or holding) an HNC, diploma, or degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Engineering/Management with strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
You Will Also Have
* Experience in NEC3 or NEC4 contracts and a background in the construction industry
* Excellent organisational skills
* The ability to work effectively under pressure
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* A willingness to learn new systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel (including pivot tables and formulas), Teams, and Outlook
This role is hybrid (office/home) with travel across our region; it is essential that you hold a valid driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
