We are looking for a fix term or Secondment cover for 12 months. The post holder will have the opportunity of working alongside the Clinical Psychologist within the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitating psychologically informed therapeutic groups
* Conducting individual psychology assessments, including neuropsychology assessments
* Working with staff teams to support the management of service users
* Working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures
* Assisting in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects
* Teaching and project work
* Contributing to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes
* Maintaining the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice of the British Psychological Society and Trust policies and procedures
* Preparing test materials and visual aids as required
* Undertaking specific administrative duties as required
* Performing other duties of a similar kind appropriate to the grade as might be required by the line manager for the post
* Undertaking protocol based psychological assessments of clients, including neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist
* Assisting in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client's problems, under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist
* Assisting in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups or clinical projects, including evaluating the efficacy of the groups
* Working with other staff to assess or support service users and contributing to multidisciplinary discussions or care guidelines as agreed with the clinical psychologist providing supervision
* Attending and contributing to appropriate multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings
* Providing feedback to MDT about psychology input
Qualifications & Requirements
* All applicants must be willing to undertake National Security Vetting in order to work in a Prison Setting
* Proof of right to work documentation
* Proof of ID, including 1 photographic ID
* Proof of address documentation
* Non-UK passport holders must have correct documentation (right to work in the UK) and a Home Office Share code
* 5 years address history (or a Police Certificate in English if less than 5 years for non-UK passport holders)
* For UK passport holders who have lived abroad for more than six months during the last three years, a certificate of good conduct or an overseas police check in English is required
