We are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified, enthusiastic and committed Nursery Practitioner with the desire and drive to be part of 'what is possible' in our nursery, Little Farlington.
'Little Farlington' is a nursery and pre-school which is all about 'what is possible'. Our mission is to provide the foundations for strong and successful future learning by fostering innate curiosity and individuality in our youngest learners, encouraging them to take risks, lead, play collaboratively, develop resilience and discover, explore and adventure. This nursery has further expanded Farlington's position as an all-through school from 6 months to 18 years.
Our nursery will form an important part of our whole school. Farlington is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils currently aged 4 to 18, and is set in 33 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside. The successful candidate will assist in the provision of high quality, professional care for children within Little Farlington, maintaining high standards and supporting the ethos of Farlington School. You will be working with and supporting colleagues in the care of nursery children, in a way that meets their educational, physical, social, emotional, intellectual and developmental needs, enabling each and everyone of them to discover what is possible.
Job Description
The role of the Nursery Practitioner is to work as part of a team to ensure the daily needs of children between the ages of 6 months and five years are met within the nursery setting and that they provide a welcoming and stimulating environment in which children can develop and thrive. The Nursery Practitioner performs an important role in directly caring for and developing the children's learning, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment, building and maintaining relationships with parents and other carers.
This role would suit someone who is self motivated, flexible and passionate about children's development and is committed to creating a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment that meets the needs of all children. They will have already had experience of working within a nursery or similar setting and have a good understanding of early years practice from 0 to 5 years.
You will need to hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 2,3 or above, understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS and Ofsted are met and have experience working in a nursery setting.
