Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The role of Plant Planner / Scheduler is to develop and maintain a finished goods supply plan for multiple affiliates in the UK & EU Region through working collaboratively with customer service, demand planning, and the manufacturing team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Planning
* Manages the Daily Production Plan / short term plan to the plant and is the primary contact for any issues relating to it
* Manages the short-term & long-term element of the production schedule in terms of creating process orders, smoothing and sequencing them to make best use of available capacity and minimise down time
* Effective communication of Production plan to the production facility and monitor its performance against these plans
* Ensures that capacity and material feasibility are checked for the Daily Production Schedule and highlights in a timely manner any capacity or Material constraints that will prevent us meeting business needs
* Communicates any customer/shipment orders that cannot be accommodated in the schedule
* Attend routine Site Meetings
Planning of Raw Material
* Calculate the raw material requirements to meet production demands from forecast/SNP
* Review supply requirements from the monthly SNP output in line with current capacity and throughput assumptions and highlight any areas of risk
* Manage the Purchase Plan as it relates to supply of product to be given to procurement for creation of Purchase requisitions
* Track manufacturing schedule adherence with appropriate escalation as required
* Input data sheet with Planned verses Actuals
* Reschedule production if there is a problem with raw material
* Aiming for 3 month rolling planning schedule and long term 15 months plan as per SNP demand
* Request for SKU amendments on master data queries
Other
* Identify and manage items at risk of becoming aged or excess and implement plans to ensure there is always zero write off / expiry of product
* Conduct current and future inventory analysis
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
* Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in chemistry or equivalent
* Minimum 1 year of experience in Planning role
* Experience of working with ERP tool such as SAP
