Casual Teaching Assistant
Location: East Lancashire – Accrington, Blackburn with Darwen, and Darwen
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Ad hoc basis
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the confidence and resilience to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)?
We are currently seeking Casual Teaching Assistants to work across a range of SEN and PRU settings throughout East Lancashire, including Accrington, Blackburn with Darwen, and Darwen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with a range of learning and behavioural needs
* Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour
* Providing one-to-one or small group support
* Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a school or care setting is preferred but not essential
* Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work
* A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
