About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides strategic leadership for Arcare’s information technology function, ensuring technology is a trusted enabler of high‑quality care, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
This role is responsible for setting and executing Arcare’s IT strategy across infrastructure, cloud, business systems, cyber security, data and governance, while leading a high‑performing IT team and partnering closely with the Executive to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
1. Set and deliver the organization's IT strategy, aligned to business objectives and long‑term growth
2. Translate business needs into scalable, secure and efficient technology solutions
3. Stay ahead of industry and technology trends, particularly within aged care and regulated environments
Technology & Operations
4. Ensure stability, performance and availability of all core systems, networks and end‑user technology
5. Oversee IT project delivery to agreed scope, timelines and budgets
6. Champion data integrity, system governance and continuous improvement
Risk, Security & Governance
7. Lead cyber security, disaster recovery and business continuity planning
8. Proactively identify and mitigate IT and third‑party risks, including SaaS providers
9. Establish and maintain strong IT governance frameworks, policies and controls
People Leadership
10. Lead, coach and develop the IT team
11. Foster a customer‑first, values‑aligned culture across the IT function
12. Ensure the department has the skills and capability required to support the organisation now and into the future
Financial Management
13. Develop and manage IT operational and capital budgets
14. Drive cost efficiency and value for money without compromising performance or security
15. Design scalable IT operating models that support growth without proportional cost increases
About You
You are a senior technology leader who combines strategic thinking with pragmatic execution. You are comfortable operating at Executive level, influencing decision‑making, and balancing innovation with risk management in a complex, highly regulated environment.
You will bring:
16. Proven experience leading an IT function at a senior level (CIO, Head of IT or equivalent)
17. Strong capability in IT strategy, cyber security, cloud and business systems
18. Experience working closely with CEOs and Executive teams
19. A leadership style grounded in collaboration, accountability and service
20. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
Experience in aged care, health, or similarly regulated sectors will be highly regarded.
Qualifications & Requirements
21. Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent experience)
22. Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior IT leadership
23. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
