Your new role
Working alongside the Senior Management team, you will be expected to oversee projects from inception topletion. Using a mix of people management andmunication skills, you will utilise your experience and industry knowledge to ensure the projects you are a part of arepleted on time, on budget and to the highest standard. You will connect with all levels of staff, from site workers to directors, with a professional and even-handed approach. You will be able to see problems as they arise and propose solutions alongside other industry professionals to meet deadlines and budget.
Some duties will include: • Manage the engineering, design/installation process, and to minimise risks associated with this to the project and to thepany.• Understand duties and responsibilities with regards to current Health and Safety/CDM legislation• Produce, implement, and approve process where appropriate, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.•municate programme risks throughout the team and help to improve where possible on delays, producing records and notices for contractual correspondence.• Attend, and chair where appropriate, meetings with the Client, the Designers, Specialist Contractors, and other team members across projects within your control. • Contribute to the regular reports, attend project meetings, and contribute value engineering skills.• Review designers and contractor’s drawings forpleteness of information andpliance with contract requirements.• Check ongoing installation forpliance with contract requirements
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to be willing to travel daily to the head in Omagh, County Tyrone, as well as be able to attend sites visits as appropriate. Previous experience within a similar role will be required with preference held to those who have managed multiple Civil Engineering schemes across their career. You will be required to hold up to date, relevant management tickets such as NVQ Level 6, degree in construction or civil engineering discipline, or industry relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be contractually aware and have skills in managing multiple schemes as well as have strongmercial acumen to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective delivery of work.
