What You’ll Be Doing
Are you interested in science, materials, or how packaging protects food and drink products? Looking for a hands‑on technical role where you can learn, develop, and work as part of a supportive laboratory team? We’re looking for a Technician (Packaging) to join our Analytical Services team at our Chipping Campden site. This is a fully on‑site role, and due to our rural location, applicants will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have their own vehicle.
As a Technician, you’ll support packaging projects by preparing samples, carrying out testing, and helping keep our laboratory and equipment running smoothly. You’ll be trained on our methods and supported by experienced colleagues.
Your Day‑to‑day Tasks Will Include
* Preparing samples and carrying out packaging tests following written methods
* Supporting contract testing projects and research work
* Maintaining laboratory and pilot plant equipment
* Keeping accurate records and logs of work carried out
* Supporting good housekeeping, hygiene and safety in the lab
* Working closely with scientists and technicians in a small, friendly team

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have
* A‑levels (or equivalent) in Science, Food Technology, or a related subject, or relevant practical/lab experience
* Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
* The ability to organise your own work and follow procedures carefully
Previous packaging or laboratory experience is not essential – full training will be provided.
