A large, well-established secondary school in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior School Administrator to join its core operations team from January 2026. This is a pivotal role within the school, sitting at the centre of daily operations and playing a critical part in maintaining the calm, professional culture for which the school is known. The school serves a diverse local community and has a strong reputation for behaviour, pastoral care and staff retention. Administration here is not an afterthought; it is a respected function, and senior administrators are trusted partners to leadership, contributing to how the school operates on a daily basis. The Role This is a varied, senior administrative post suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, structure and ownership. You will oversee front-office systems, student records, communication processes and compliance, ensuring the school runs smoothly and consistently. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing daily front-office operations and setting professional standards for communication Managing student records, attendance systems and admissions documentation Supporting senior leaders with meeting coordination, reporting and organisation Maintaining safeguarding, GDPR and compliance records Line-managing administrative staff and supporting their development Acting as a trusted point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies The Working Environment The school operates with clear systems and routines, allowing this role to be proactive rather than reactive. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and senior leaders, with your insight actively sought when reviewing processes and improving efficiency.
